Yokai Series: Sojobo

Yokai is a premium whiskey experience from Mugen Spirit curated by co-founder Kojin Tashiro, weaving Japanese mythology and lore into carefully selected bourbon barrels. Yokai are a lineage of mythological creatures, tricksters, and warriors. Each expression depicts a different Yokai.

The first chapter of the Yokai series wraps up with our most powerful single barrel whiskey honoring Sojobo, legendary King of the Tengu. Tengu are spiritual warriors of the forest who are symbols of knowledge, power, and sophistication.

• Flavor notes:
  • Nose: Brown sugar spice cake with vanilla and cream cheese frosting. Slight citrus candy and a hint of fresh oatmeal creampie in the background.
  • Palate: Warm, winter cherry cobbler with toasted walnuts and sprinkles of orange zest. Finishes with leather and seasoned oak with sweat baking spice coating the mouth.
